Barlow-Kearsley,
Consultant Podiatric Surgeon
BSc (Hons) FCPodS
Registered with the
Health Professions Council Member of the Society of Chiropodists and
Podiatrists.
Ernest Barlow-Kearsley trained as Podiatrist in South Africa where he
obtained his undergraduate Higher National Diploma in Podiatric
Medicine.
In 1993 he immigrated to the UK and in 1996 he was awarded a BSc (Hons)
in Podiatric Studies from Brighton University.
In 2001 he was awarded his Fellowship in Podiatric Surgery (FCPodS)
after which he completed his 3 year post fellowship training in
podiatric surgery in 2004 whilst working in a number of locations;
Doncaster West PCT (3 years), Homerton University NHS Trust (1 year)
and Erewash NHS PCT (6months). During this time he gained valuable
experience working both in acute and community based podiatric
surgical centres. This allowed him to apply for his Certificate of
Completion in Surgical Training (CCST) from the Faculty of Podiatric
Surgery which was duly awarded in 2004.
He is currently employed both within the NHS and private practice. He
holds
a Consultant post at Charing Cross Hospital employed by
Hammersmith and Fulham NHS PCT. In addition he is employed by Mid
Sussex NHS PCT as an Associate Specialist in Podiatric Surgery as part
of the newly formed Mid Sussex Musculoskeletal Service. He has been
granted private patient
privileges within the Riverside Wing at the
Charing Cross Hospital where he is able to perform elective day case
surgery in the newly refurbished day
surgery unit.
At the Footcare Centre he has been able to offer consultations for
patients with foot related problems that may require podiatric
surgery. This has enhanced the scope of services that "The Footcare
Centre can offer to their patients.
