Our feet are a vital part of our body – but let’s be honest, we can all be guilty of neglecting them from time to time. The wrong shoes, too much use at the gym, leaving those nails too long whilst playing football.

At The Footcare Centre we are committed to foot and lower limb health.

Most of us have limited experience of foot care and the stereo-typed image of chiropody often is inaccurate. Our podiatrists put their specialist skills into practice when dealing with a whole range of problems. For example many techniques can be employed to offer a curative approach to certain conditions including muscluloskeletal and sporting injury, ingrowing toe nails, verrucae and skin lesions.

The assessment and treatment of abnormal mechanical function of your foot and legs is also a specialty. ‘Biomechanics’ as it is known enables us to understand and treat sporting injuries or recurrent aches and pains in the feet, knees, hips or lumbar spine. A biomechanical assessment also acts as a screening tool for children or adults with problems walking. Common ailments we treat biomechanically include heel pain, tendonitis or big toe joint pain. We often help by tailoring a treatment program to get you back on track through exercise regimes, custom made foot orthoses or Low Level Laser Therapy.
