The Footcare Centre is a friendly,
professional cluster of three podiatry practices within Surrey and
greater London. Our team of foot specialists enables us to treat a
wide variety of foot conditions, and our skill mix enables you to be
placed with the best podiatrist, chiropodist or foot specialist to
have your feet treated properly.
The Footcare Centre is committed to
multi-disciplinary approaches to care so that you can be treated to
best effect, therefore within our team we also offer consultations
with our
Podiatric Surgeon,
Physiotherapist,
Osteopath and a
footwear fitting service.
All our podiatrists are committed to Continued Professional
Development to ensure you receive the best evidence-based practice.
At
the Footcare Centre ALL of our podiatrists have undertaken a degree-level training course and
are registered with the
Health Professions Council. All our
podiatrists are also members of the
Society of Chiropodists and
Podiatrists. In contrast to foot doctors (Orthopaedic
Surgeons), podiatrists are autonomous health professionals dealing
with foot health. Our podiatrists are qualified to use either the term
‘podiatrist’ or ‘chiropodist’. Podiatry is the same name as foot
specialists overseas and also reflects the full extent of our scope of
practice and training. The law has recently changed regarding the
registration of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. All of our Podiatrists
were also known as State Registered Chiropodists prior to this change.
